Known for it's outstanding vigor and uniformity, the La Roma II plant produces tasty fruit on large vigorous plants. The La Roma II was bred for disease resistance. It is a determinate variety.
Determinate
Vines that make little or no growth once fruit is set. Harvest time is short as most of the fruit tends to develop and mature at about the same time.
Growing Tips
This is an determinate tomato variety, but it does best when staked or caged. Tomatoes should be planted outside after the last average frost date. The plants prefer well drained soil that is high in organic matter. In order to produce good yields, the plants need at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day and regular watering. Fertilize about every six weeks with a good fertilizer (we recommend worm castings if available).
